We know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. - 1 John 4:16
You and I were created by God for love. To love and to be loved is what makes life worth living. It gives our lives meaning and purpose.
But - In our modern society with social media, fashion magazine's and television its so easy to compare ourselves with others. Loving ourselves does not come naturally any more, because we are constantly bombarded with what beauty is "supposed" to look like. What title's you should have to fit in with certain social circles, how much money you make, the list goes on and on. Now we are sitting with a generation that never feels good enough about themselves, depressed and trapped in the lies which live in their minds.

“A revelation of God's perfect love for you can change your life and your walk with Him.” - Joyce Meyer
How can we change our self-worth? What does God say about self esteem and self love? What is true beauty?
God's greatest Commandment
In the book of Matthew one of the teachers of the law asked Jesus which commandment is the most important? Jesus' response was : "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these" - Matt 22: 37- 40.
Loving myself is something I have personally struggled with all my life. But I came to realize that my worth is not in my works. My worth lies in Jesus and what His word says about me. I have watched this incredible video, that I would like to share with you. Our previous Miss South Africa and Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Tebow spoke to young woman and ladies of all ages about God-Confidence. Go check it out.
Last though:
You'll never be happy if you love others, but don't love yourself. True love begins with self-love. Be kind to yourself, know you are always enough- that's your greatest responsibility.
- Mark 12:31
